So I had this job interview Wednesday. I was told it would be about 8 hours of job shadowing, "and this is Minnesota so you should dress for the weather because you'll be in and out, buisness casual." Which would've been a really great concept were I to be in and out. I was out. It turned out the job was basically door-to-door salesmen. I walked outside, in a blizzard, for 8 hours. Both of my feet had giant blisters on them and for whatever reason, my foot started hurting, rather seriously, about half an hour in. The dude I was shadowing, as lame as he was, did show concern by asking me if it still hurted when I started limping. (positive emoticon) Then my entire lower legs, both of them, started screaming in pain. We had another two hours. When I got back to the office I told him I wasn't interested. Wish he had asked previously. Him and his co-workers were boring and stupid, by the way. Frat boys who didn't waste time getting fat.
On the ride home I was talking with my friend who's moving to Austin. He says he needs to hire someone to work under him at this new job and that I would be good at the job, plus I'd enjoy it. There are more details, of course, but I'm thinking of doing it. So, I might move to Austin. Thoughts?

Actually, I've heard its a great place. Really unexpectedly happening, like the Northwest used to be a decade ago. Katie Dunn went there and spoke highly of it, you should ask her about it.
austin is supposedly the only acceptable place to live in texas. not that i've ever been to texas. not that i plan on going to texas...
